Drinking and Cooking. Good Idea?

In the culture we live in today, who doesn’t enjoy drinking. We do everything while drunk; drive, text, socialize, and apparently cook. But just like drinking and driving, drinking and cooking is dangerous and we’re not just saying it’s a bad idea because the food you cook while drunk might turn out to be a gross and ugly mess. No, it’s a bad idea because the reality is that a great number of house fires in the United States are caused by drunk home chefs.

Now, we’re not telling you not to drink and cook but if you must cook under the influence, you should first watch “My Drunk Kitchen“. It’s a popular YouTube video series by Hannah Hart, who bravely demonstrates for us all what happens when you try to cook while drunk. The results are never as pretty as a Food Network cooking show, but the process often turns out to be wildly funny. Just follow Hart’s advice and make sure you have a sober friend with you in the kitchen. Better yet, leave the cooking to the sober people…if they’re good at cooking.

Here are a few videos to enlighten you on what happens when you cook drunk:

Now that you’ve seen what happens when you cook under the influence, we have to legally inform you NOT TO TRY THIS AT HOME!!! You may think nothing will happen but things can go wrong at any time and it’s always better to be safe than sorry. If you still wish to try this at home, make sure you have a sober friend looking after you.

If you’ve got videos of drunken cooking (with supervision of course) share them with us. We love to post them on our blog!

Extra folks need to learn this and understand this side of the story. I cant imagine youre not more common because you undoubtedly have the gift.
